I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech, advised by Dr. Qin Zhu (LANCSET). Previously, I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Colorado School of Mines, where I was advised by Dr. Tom Williams (MIRRORLab). My research focuses on human-robot interaction, robot identity and ethics, and compassion in STEM education.
Generally, I am interested in understanding human perspectives and how human-centered design can be applied towards developing technologies that are catered to people and their interaction needs.
